Money Challenge
I'll admit it, I designed this challenge to help me up my Money Game and figured I would invite others along for the ride.
The goal is to:
-
heal our relationship to money
-
take away the resistance of bookkeeping and being accountable for the numbers
-
create the freedom and feeling of being empowered by knowing exactly what is going on with our money
I encourage you to really take this on. I'm here for you if you need some encouragement-see how to connect below. It is not a hard challenge, and will have enormous impact!
You in?
#1 ENGAGE
Do your bookkeeping once per week for both your personal accounts and your business accounts (if you have them)
#2 GET YOUR SYSTEMS SET UP
-
Find accounting software that you like and switch everything over. If you already love the one(s) you have, then just make sure it is up to date and only has current accounts in it.
-
Set up automatic downloads and memorized transactions to code the transactions to the right category.
-
Code your credit card(s) transactions too!
#3 BECOME AWARE OF YOUR
MONEY STATUS
-
Read at least 2 financial reports (i.e., Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Transactions by Category, etc.)
-
Figure out what is working and not working in your income and spending and make a plan to tweak it
